"I believe Paris 2012 has what it takes to put forward a world class Candidature File that will do Paris and the International sporting community proud".† Those were the words used by Paris 2012 CEO, Philippe Baudillon, to hail the arrival of five international Olympic experts in his team.

To each his area of expertise. David Churches, Senior Technical Advisor, will review all of the bidís technical aspects. David Desmarchelier, Senior Olympic Security Advisor, will consolidate the operational security plan. Julius de Heer, Senior Environment and Sustainable Development Advisor, will contribute to the Environmental and Sustainable Development Charter Ė a key component of the bid. Brett Hopkins, advisor on Finance, will be responsible for consolidating the forecast budget for the 2012 Games. As for Mike Loynd, Senior Operational Advisor, he will focus on the development and operating plans for the sites and competition clusters, transportation and travel.

The experts have been brought in to bolster the Bid Committee as it prepares to present its candidature application, due next 15 November, to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
