It has now become a daily ritual for visitors to gather at Club France In a
space adorned with the colors of the Paris 2012 Bid, Olympic medalists Florence
Masnada, Jean Luc Cretier, Olivier Lenglet and Thierry Rey welcome numerous visitors.
Visitors can use this venue to watch competitions on a giant screen, share their
feelings about the Athens Games and show their support to the Paris 2012 Bid.
Every evening, the French Olympic medalists of the day are warmly welcomed and
congratulated by Jean-François Lamour, French Minister of Sports, and Henri Sérandour,
President of the French NOC.
Swimmer Laure Manaudou, fencer Brice Guyart, and Tony Estanguet, all gold medalists,
have already received gifts from Paris 2012 for their achievements.
French champions of years past, including Jean Claude Killy and Guy Drut, as
well as French members of the IOC, Jean Philippe Gatien, Stéphane Diagana, Sébastien
Flute, Brahim Asloum and Colette Besson are present to share in the exceptional
achievements of current Olympic competitors. Media consultants and former Olympic
champions Marie-Jo Pérec, David Douillet, Philippe Boisse, and Edgar Grospiron,
are also amongst the "usual suspects" at the Club de France.
This Paris 2012 facility is the only promotional function allowed by the IOC
during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Athens.
Ideally situated at the Piraeus port, our home at Club France provides people
