Accor, Bouygues, Carrefour, Crédit Agricole, EDF, France Télécom, Lagardère,
RATP, Renault, SUEZ, VediorBis and now Airbus: the Corporate Club are proud to
welcome this new international corporation to the Club.
For the president of the Paris 2012 Corporate Club, Arnaud Lagardère, this new support is tremendously satisfying: "We now have,
within the Club, 12 of the biggest French businesses, and as well as their financial
contribution, will bring their technical expertise to benefit the Candidature
file that will be submitted to the IOC in November. We hope that France will
become a winning team and I invite other businesses to join us and contribute
to the mobilization of French business community".
The CEO of Airbus, Noël Forgeard, explained that "It is essential for Airbus to support the candidacy, side by side other
businesses, to offer its expertise, notably, regarding air transportation. It
is with great enthusiasm that we associate our business and its 50 000 employees
with this new challenge."
Airbus, one of the leading aircraft manufacturers in the world, offers a range of the most modern and comprehensive family of
airliners on the market. The corporation has access to research departments and
manufacturing sites in France, Germany, United Kingdom and Spain, as well as affiliates
in the United States, China and Japan. Airbus, located in Toulouse, is a partnership
between EADS and BAE Systems.
Altogether, the 12 businesses of the Club represent close to 2 million employees
world wide that are backing the French Bid.
