Colourful Paris

Several Parisian buildings and bridges will wear green, yellow, red and blue colours to honour the French Bid. The French Assembly, the City Hall and four bridges on the Seine will be adorned with the Paris 2012 logo until July 6, 2005.

The 6th of January 2005 is exactly six months before the International Olympic Committee announces the official host of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Paris has decided to mark the date by reinforcing its L’Amour des Jeux.

Until the 6th of July 2005, the facades of the French Assembly and of the City Hall will sport the Paris 2012 logo.  Similarly, four principle bridges of the French Capital will also display the logo, one of which being the Concorde Bridge.

During this six month period, the logos will be illuminated every evening, from 5.30pm at the French Assembly and 6pm at the City Hall.

Amongst the iconic places to feature the Paris 2012 logo, the Eiffel Tower was the first to have adorned the colours of the Paris 2012 bid.  A giant "pin" has been installed there since November, 2004.
