Singapore in Sight

The 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games bidding process is entering a symbolic phase. Paris, like the four other bid cities, is now only 100 days to the IOC's decisive vote.

On the 6th of July, all attention will be on Singapore. That is the day that the International Olympic Committee voting members will decide the city that will organise the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.

March 28 marks the symbolic date of one hundred days to the IOC decision, one hundred days during which Paris 2012 will continue to focus on their bid.

La Rochelle, the "Sailing" Olympic Village, has embraced this occasion to emphasise its commitment for the Paris 2012 bid.  Since the 28th of March, until the 6th of July, the two towers at the opening of the old port will be illuminated in the colours of "L'Amour des Jeux" with a luminous 'count down' clock.  Images of the bid have also been projected on a wall of water, between the two towers.

Four other cities are also associated with the Paris 2012 dossier; Lens, Lyon; Marseille and Nantes will host football events, if Paris is chosen to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.
