The atmosphere was hardworking but friendly and relaxed during the first phase of the Evaluation Commission inspection on Wednesday. The Paris 2012 Bid Committee was questioned on a series of themes of its candidature file.

The work sessions have been intensive throughout this first inspection day of the Paris 2012 candidature file. Based
at the Grand Hotel in Paris, the Bid Committee experts were asked many precise
questions by the Evaluation Commission members.
From 8.45 am to 12.30 pm, the members took a particular interest in the following themes: Olympic Games
Concept and Legacy, Sports and Venues and Olympic Village.
The Commission got back to work at 2.45 pm with the following themes on the agenda: Environment and Meteorology,
Accommodation, Transport and Paralympic Games.
At approximately the same time, a media visit was organised at the Croix Catelan, the selected competition venue
for Modern Pentathlon. Sebastien Deleigne, double Olympic champion in Modern Pentathlon
was on site to meet and greet them.
Today, the members of the Evaluation Commission will visit the majority of the existing venues of the Paris 2012 project. |
