Two main clusters

To experience the events to their fullest, two main clusters have been designed, the Northern Cluster, around Stade de France®, and the Western Cluster, around the stadium of Roland Garros. They will be home to 19 of the 32 Olympic venues.

With 32 venues, the present proposal utilises lay-out leverages on the optimisation of 19 existing sites.

The Olympic Village
Location of IBC and MPC
With thirty-two venues, the present proposal utilises lay-out leverages on the optimisation of nineteen existing sites, including: Stade de France®, Roland Garros, the Longchamp and Auteuil racecourses, the Vaires-sur-Marne basin and the 1900 Olympic venue Croix Catelan.

The football stadiums in provincial cities all hosted the Football World Cup in 1998 and so offer guaranteed high-quality facilities (in accordance with FIFA standards).

Seven of the thirteen additional venues will be temporary.

The Ile-de-France region will enjoy the post-Olympic heritage listed below:

• the Aquatics Centre,
• the “SuperDome”,
• the Velodrome,
• the Shooting Centre.

Moreover, the Olympic requirements will enrich an already ambitious project of expanding the Roland Garros stadium.

These venues will meet needs that have been clearly identified by sports organisations and local authorities.
The crowd capacity will be reduced after the Games to ensure their long-term post-Olympic use and operation.
