Writing a new page in Paris' history

HOSTING THE OLYMPIC Games is an event of unparalleled dimension. Yet, beyond the event itself, Paris intends to take advantage of the Games to renovate and modernise, initiate and sustain new behaviours, open up to new architectural, urban, sporting, economic and social ways of thinking, and bring its urban development to a hilt, on new foundations. The refurbishments planned to organise the Games will offer all Parisians an opportunity to see a new page of their City's and region's history written, before their very eyes.
