An Optimal Accommodation Offer
The Olympic and Paralympic Optimal Accommodation Plan (OAP) set forth by Paris 2012 meets the IOC’s every requirement, whether in terms of hotel capacity, price control, quality or accessibility standards. Paris 2012 has already secured guarantees for nearly 50,000 rooms (in all categories) to accommodate accredited groups and spectators. As existing infrastructures already provide more than enough accommodation, whether qualitatively or quantitatively, no hotels will be built specifically for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

 

The Hotel "Pools": An Innovative and Highly-Efficient Concept
All OAP hotels, divided into geographic "pools", will share services such as transport so as to improve service quality and optimise costs. Paris 2012 has planned a network of 19 accommodation "pools" in Paris and the Ile-de-France Region, providing access to 346 hotels and around 38,000 rooms.

 

The Optimal Accommodation Plan in line with the Strategic Transport Plan (STP)
The hotel pools will be located near the Olympic Lanes or reduced-traffic lanes so as to ensure rapid and convenient travel for accredited groups. The Olympic OAP was also designed with a view to making the best possible use of the existing public transport system. As such, all OAP hotels are located near a metro, RER or bus station.

 

A Broad Range of Accommodation Available to Spectators
More than 140,000 rooms, in addition to those guaranteed under the OAP, are potentially available in Paris and the Ile-de-France Region. Non-hotel structures, including rural cottages, bed & breakfasts and youth hostels, will be used.

 

Price Control
All OAP hotels have signed rate agreements with Paris 2012 for the Games period.
