Paris 2012 Media Programme for the IOC Evaluation Commission Visit - 8–13 March 2005

The Evaluation Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will visit Paris on March 9-12, 2005. In addition to the IOC full press conference on March 12th, a full specific media programme has been organised for all accredited media planning to cover the event starting on March 8 and ending on March 13.

This media programme is based on the principle of a “shadow visit” of the IOC Evaluation Commission visit and aims to provide the world’s media with a similar level of information and opportunities to explore the Paris Bid.
 
Tuesday, March 8
- 1.00 pm:
The Media Accreditation Desk opens. Entrance at 29 rue de Rivoli (located at the northern side of the Hotel de Ville)
- 6.00 pm: Inauguration ceremony for the rebranding of the Hotel de Ville metro station (Metro line 1)
- 7.00 pm:  Paris 2012 Founding Committee will host a press conference, followed by a cocktail reception to welcome the international media

Wednesday, March 9
- 10.00 am:
Presentation of “L’Amour des Jeux” and Paris 2012 concept
- 12.00 am: Press briefing on the IOC sessions
- 2.30 pm: Depart for Croix Catelan, historic site of the 1900 Paris Olympic Games
- 5.30 pm: Press briefing on the IOC sessions (in French)
- 6.00 pm: Press briefing on the IOC sessions (in English)
- 9.00 pm: Depart for a media reception at Musée Jacquemard

Thursday, March 10
- 9.00 am:
Depart for the tour of the Olympic and Paralympic venues
- 5.30 pm: Press briefing on the IOC sessions (in French)
- 6.00 pm: Press briefing on the IOC sessions (in English)
- 8.30 pm: Depart for a media reception on a boat cruise of the Seine

Friday, March 11
- 9.00 am:
Depart for the Eiffel Tower and a presentation on the non-cluster venues
- 12.00 am: Press briefing on the IOC sessions
- 2.30 pm: Presentation on the Agenda 21 of Paris 2012
- 5.30 pm: Press briefing on the IOC sessions (in French)
- 6.00 pm: Press briefing on the IOC sessions (in English)
- 8.00 pm: photo opportunity at L’Elysée Palace
- 8.30 pm: Depart for media a reception at the restaurant Atelier Renault

Saturday, March 12
- 9.00 am:
Depart for visits of the non-cluster venues (including Bercy Palais Omnisport)
- 5.30 pm: Final IOC Evaluation Commission press conference. The location of the press conference to be announced on Wednesday 9 March.
- 6.30 pm: Paris 2012 press briefing
