50 copies packed in a white box: this is how Paris 2012 chose to send out its answers to the 25 questions asked by the International Olympic Committee, in Lausanne .
Unadorned in presentation, the application offers detail, in French and English, on the various aspects of the plan, as requested by the IOC:
- motivation, concept and public opinion
- political support
- finance
- venues
- accommodation
- transport infrastructure
- general conditions, logistics and experience
In the face of the IOC application deadline by midnight , on January the 15 th , Paris has moved ahead the timetable.
Official Presentation
In conjunction with the application filing, Paris 2012 will make an official presentation, on the first story of the Eiffel Tower , on 16 January 2004 . Bertrand Delanoë, Mayor of Paris and President of the Paris 2012 Bid Committee, Jean-François Lamour, Minister of Sports, Jean-Paul Huchon, President of the Ile-de-France Regional Council, Henri Sérandour, President of the French Olympic Committee (CNOSF) and Philippe Baudillon, CEO of Paris 2012, will detail the responses delivered to the IOC, before members of the Bid Committee and the press. Michel Drucker will host the gathering.
With its submission now handed in, Paris , Applicant City , has completed an important step. The application will now be used by the IOC as a working document, as it prepares to officially designate, on the 18th May, the Candidate Cities seeking to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games of the XXX Olympiad.
