The French rugby team
supports Paris 2012


The manager and the trainer of the French team, Jo Maso and Bernard Laporte, expressed their support to the Paris ' bid for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The French rugby team held a press conference in Paris to announce the composition of the squad that will meet England at Stade de France on Saturday, March 27 th.

The former captain of the “XV de France”, Fabien Galthié said: “ even if rugby is not an Olympic sport, it shares the Olympics values. The Paris ' bid is the entire French sport community's bid ”.

On behalf of Paris 2012, Thierry Rey, Olympic judo Champion, in charge of the sportsmen's mobilisation, expressed his thanks for this collective commitment from the French rugby team and the national rugby federation.
